That old black and white photo from Grandma's collection could win you a cash prize in a photo competition.
Just add a photo of the same place/thing/person to show the contrast between 'then and now', post it on Facebook or Twitter with the hastag #BDThenAndNow and you could win $2,000.
Make sure you share your prize with Grandma!
Of course not everyone has historic photos, so the time frame can be much shorter. You might have some great 'before and after' photos of your home renovation, or that Dorothy the Dinosaur birthday cake before and after it was attacked by a bunch of rampaging five year olds. What about the time you had your long hair shaved off for a cancer fundraiser, contrasted with the long flowing locks that grew back?
Even if you're not entering this competition, it's worth having a look at the website to see the clever "time slider" which allows you to see Australian city scenes as they were, and as they are today.
