This annual photo competition is for all ACT residents and those residing within 60 kilometres of the ACT border. It celebrates how older persons have lived or celebrated their lives.
Deadline: 5.00pm Tuesday 1 February 2011
Categories:
• Primary students - Kindergarten to Year 6
• Secondary students - Year 7 to Year 12
• Open - for entrants aged 18 years through to 59 years
• Seniors – for entrants aged 60 years and over
Prizes
There are lots of goodies including camera shop vouchers and movie passes. The school with the greatest number of students entering the competition also wins some prizes.
How to enter: Visit the competition site for an entry form. You can also visit Harvey Norman in Fyshwick, give them your entry form plus an electronic copy of your image and they print a 8 x 12 inch version for free and post it off for you.
Calendar: Previous finalists have had their photos printed in the 2011 Capital Chemist Community Calendar. 45,000 copies are sold for a gold coin donation and given to charities.
